Dr. Laura Mayron (she/they) is an international scholar of Federico García Lorca, the queer body, and the Spanish avant-garde. Born and raised in Maui, Hawai’i, Laura brings a multicultural, interdisciplinary approach to their work. They received a B.A. from Wellesley College in Spanish and English in 2016, after which she completed a PhD in Hispanic Language and Literatures with a certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Boston University (2023). She was awarded a Fulbright Postdoctoral Research Grant for the 2024-2025 academic year and has remained in Spain since as an independent scholar and postdoctoral researcher at the Centro Federico García Lorca.
